Job Description

THE COMPANY:Brewster Partners are working in partnership with a leading UK professional services organisation as they expand their Warehouse & Dispatch Team.Based in Sheffield, our client is looking for an experienced Warehouse & Dispatch Manager to manage the day to day operations on site, ensuring Quality Management Systems are put in place and risk assessments as they move to larger premises.THE JOB:Responsible for the day to day management of operations on site, as the Warehouse & Dispatch Manager will plan, co-ordinate and monitor the storage and dispatch of goods in line with predicted budgetary requirements.This is a brand new role with a particular focus on the health and safety and improving quality management systems.Duties & Responsibilities include:

  • Identify non-conformances and initiate corrective actions to prevent or minimise future issues
  • Plan, co-ordinate and monitor the receipt, storage and dispatch of goods in line with predicted use and budget requirements
  • Identify improvements and drive through recommendations for change
  • Oversee training for packing and dispatch processes, and ensure there are appropriate numbers of staff with the required education, training and ongoing competence to maintain service
  • Address complaints, requests or suggestions from staff and/or users of services where appropriate and relevant
  • Ensure efficient and effective use of warehouse space to include layout and future capacity requirements
  • Develop, maintain and report to Senior Management on KPIs and Early Warning Signs
  • Maintain a safe environment in compliance with health and safety regulations, good practice and applicable requirements
  • Review ways to reduce waste and environmental impact
  • Evaluation of warehouse staff, to include interviewing and induction
  • Ensure maintenance and servicing of equipment and facilities is performed in accordance with local and regulatory requirements
    • THE PERSON:
  • Management experience - review staff performance and conduct appraisals, improvement plans, and disciplinary processes as necessary
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel - maintain automated and computerised systems and printers where necessary
  • Implementing quality management systems - documentation and handbooks
  • Health & Safety responsibility
  • Establishing and building rapport with clients and suppliers
  • Experience of working in the healthcare, chemical or pharmaceutical industry is advantageous but not essential
    • BENEFITS:
  • Hours of work 7am - 3pm or 7:30am - 3:30pm
  • Salary - £28,000 - £32,000pa
