Ultrasonic research engineer needed!As a Research Ultrasonic Engineer, you will play a vital role in the mission to harness ultrasonic data for transformative impact in clients industries and projects. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, youll use your expertise in ultrasonic technology,data processing, and signal processing to develop innovative solutions that enhance efficiency, safety, and sustainability.Key Responsibilities:* Conduct cutting-edge research in ultrasonic technology, exploring novel approaches to data acquisition, processing, and analysis.* Develop algorithms for processing and interpreting ultrasonic data, extracting valuable insights to address complex challenges.* Collaborate closely with data scientists, engineers, and researchers to integrate ultrasonic solutions into real-world applications.* Use Python and other relevant tools to implement and validate data processing and signal processing algorithms.* Stay current with the latest advancements in ultrasonic technology, data processing techniques, and signal processing methodologies.* Collaborate with the team to design experiments, collect and analyse data, and contribute to technical reports and publications.* Contribute to the development of intellectual property, patents, and innovative technologies.Requirements:* Masters or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Acoustics, or a related field.* Solid experience (3+ years) in ultrasonic technology, data processing, and signal processing.* Proficiency in Python programming for algorithm development and data analysis.* Strong understanding of ultrasonic sensing principles, transducers, and data acquisition systems.* Familiarity with relevant software tools and libraries for data analysis and signal processing.* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present technical information effectively.This is a hybrid position, based in Sheffield with 3 days a week in the office.
