Job Description

UI Artist (Game Development)Location: SheffieldSalary: £25,000 - £30,000 p.a DOEPermanent, Full-time.We have an exciting opportunity with our client, an independent AAA games development house based in Sheffield. They are expanding rapidly and we are keen to talk to experienced UI Artists. Our client prides itself on the quality of its production and the UI is very important, so we would like to hear from you.Your Responsibilities:

  • Create and design a first-class UI system for a AAA title.
  • Optimise file size without compromising quality.
  • Minimising latency in-game and at the front end.
  • Create user interfaces and motion graphics for transitions.
  • Clear knowledge of colour theory, shape, scale, form and silhouette inc examples.
  • Contribute to a successful art pipeline of asset production in all areas (environments UI, human UI, effects UI)
  • Able to think about the player, making the UI as easy, seamless, and rewarding as possible.
    • About you:
  • Experienced in Photoshop, After Effects, 3DS Max, Blender, illustrator.
  • Previous experience in creating video games UI. (Portfolio of proof)
  • Good illustration skills, from sketching concepts to final 2D/3D effects and UI.
  • Excellent knowledge of GUI flow from start to finish inc Single Player and Multiplayer game flows.
  • Fantastic attention to detail.
    • What would make you stand out:
  • 3D Modelling experience.
  • Some Animation experience.
  • Portfolio of work to show examples of your work.
  • Experience of Unity, Unreal Engine, Cryengine, Frostbite or similar.
