Job Description

Trainee Law Costs Draftsman, Costs Assessment Process, Clinical Negligence, Negotiation, Permanent, SheffieldTrainee Law Costs Draftsman is required by a well-established, market leading Niche Private Practice, Medical Solicitors, in their lovely Sheffield office.You will be a Trainee Law Costs Draftsman with minimum 1 years’ experience and a good level of education. The firm offer in-depth training and encourage qualifications to ensure career development and progression. Medical Solicitors offer sponsorship to Cost Lawyer qualification to all candidates once passing probation if they are not already qualified.The role:

  • Assisting a very experienced qualified costs lawyer in all areas of the costs assessment process and budgeting and eventually be expected to manage their own caseload dealing with solicitors files in clinical negligence matters.
  • Participation in negotiations.
  • As you gain experience, it is expected that you will be given increased responsibility to manage more complex and higher valued cases.
  • Suitable candidates may also be given the opportunity to have some involvement in advocacy.
