Job Description

£27,994 - £33,273 - DOE (£11.35 - £13.49 + shift allowance) AM PM Nights Rotating shifts plus excellent benefits including 25 days holidays + stats, pension scheme, premium overtime, company sick pay, company bonus, life assurance and private healthcareAn opportunity has arisen for an experienced Trainee CNC Turner to join a very successful, secure and growing business in the Sheffield area. They are a worldwide company with almost 300 employees and are very well established within their industry.As a Trainee CNC Turner you will be working within a production cell that produces bolts via the Planning, Organising, Setting and Operation of up to 3 multi spindle lathes. Your daily duties will include:

  • Competently set and operate CNC multi- spindle machines (preferably Wickman)
  • Retrieving correct material and load equipment in line with production schedule.
  • Thread rolling, chasing recessing and tapping.
  • Exchanging tip/ completing changeovers in line with SMED principles.
  • Understanding and interpreting engineering drawings
The hourly rate for this role is;
  • Days - £11.35- £13.49 depending on experience
  • Afternoons - £13.05 - £15.51
