Job Description

An entry level trainee field sales role promoting a premium range of power tool accessories into an established network of national and independent builder’s merchants, plumber’s merchants & electrical wholesalers across the North of England.Package: £28k-£34k basic with a 20% bonus scheme, company vehicle, laptop, mobileTerritory: North of England - to be living centrally between Birmingham & LeedsSelling: Power tool accessories, including drills, drivers and sawsCustomers: National and independent builder’s merchants, plumber’s merchants & electrical wholesalersTHE ROLE - Account Manager:

  • This is a great opportunity to break into field sales, and after a thorough induction and training programme you will be promoting a premium range of power tool accessories
  • Account managing and developing the relationship with a network of 300 builders merchants, plumbers merchants and electrical wholesalers
  • Working with your accounts to strengthen relationships, improve their product knowledge, increase their commitment to your brand, and increase sales
  • This will be achieved by carrying out merchandising, delivering in-store training and supporting with trade days
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT - Account Manager:
  • You must have some sales experience, this could have been gained in an internal role on the phones, or within a merchant or distributor on a trade counter
  • Preferably this experience would have been within a construction related environment, but could be building materials, plumbing, heating, bathrooms, building services…
  • You will be covering a large geographical area, spending 4-days a week on the road in-front of customers, so you must be comfortable driving with nights away from home
  • You will be personable and outgoing with excellent communication skills
