Elevation Engineering & Manufacturings team have been exclusively retained to manage a recruitment campaign for our prestigious client based Sheffield.The client is a worldwide leader in design and manufacturing for the orthopedic and medical device markets, including joint reconstruction, spine, trauma, sports medicine, extremities and dental. With 14 world-class facilities located around the globe, theycontinue to provide others an opportunity to live a better life through the products, services and the way the company conducts business.Their Sheffield facility comprises a Forge, Foundry and CNC Machining and Finishing processes. It employs approximately 230 people and focuses on joint reconstruction, in particular knee and hip joints and also the instruments required to fit the medical deviceparts.They currently have a vacancy available within the Toolroom and are looking for an experienced ToolmakerThey are looking for individuals with experience or a desire to work in the following role:ToolmakerWorking Hours: 39 hours per weekMonday to Thursday 07.00am-04.00pm / Friday: 07.00am - 12.00pmHourly Rate: £12.96 p/h - £15.68 p/h Overtime: Paid at time andafter 39 hoursWe are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist with the following skills:*Able to set/operate CNC machines (milling & lathes)*Ability to programme CNC machines - Fanuc / Heidenhain*CAD/CAM knowledge*Ability to program and run the Forge DMG HSC*Knowledge of EDM spark erosion*Wire EDM experience*Experience of inspection gauges, jigs and fixtures *Able to work to tight tolerancesThe successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:*Good communication skills (written and verbal)*Understanding of engineering drawings*Problem solving ability*An interest in personal development*The ability to work under their own initiative and as part of a team*Ability to work with engineers to solve problems*Attention to detailThe Toolmaker will be asked to cover bench fitting tasks if required (training will be given) which will include the manufacture of wax injection dies and forge tooling.If you want to discuss the positions in more detail, please contact Nicola Jackson at Elevation Recruitment Group.Elevation Recruitment Groups Engineering division work with a vast range of businesses across Yorkshire and Humberside, Lincolnshire and East Midlands regions.
