Job Description

  • Do you want to join a team that provides a 24 hour emergency response service to customers in a variety of settings
If yes, then we have an exciting opportunity for you!I am currently recruiting for a Telecare Technician to join the team.You will be responsible for:
  • Conducting Telecare Profiling with all new Telecare customers in consultation with the referrer
  • Installing Telecare equipment and Enhanced Assistive Technology in a range of settings and monitoring and providing feedback on its effectiveness
  • Carrying out follow up visits and reviews of all new and existing customers
  • Maintaining your own and others’ awareness of developments in Assistive Technology and Enhanced Assistive Technology and advising and guiding other colleagues and frontline staff in CWCA
  • Assisting the Telecare Coordinator in identifying Assistive Technology and Enhanced Assistive Technology needs and providing training, guidance and support to CWCA staff and where appropriate, staff in partner agencies and departments
  • Liaising with equipment manufacturers as directed by the Telecare Coordinator to ensure that the equipment and maintenance needs of CWCA are met to the required standard on a 24 hour/7 day basis
  • Assisting the Telecare Coordinator in raising the awareness of Telecare and Enhanced Assistive Technology across both internal and external partners and agencies
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A good understanding of the needs and preferences of older people, people with disabilities and people with long term conditions
  • A good knowledge of the range of Telecare equipment and Enhanced Assistive Technology available and how to install and maintain it
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a diverse range of customers and stakeholders
  • A flexible and proactive approach and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Experience of installing tech in peoples homes of which can be vulnerable
