Technical Sales Manager£45,000 - £65,000 + Excellent BonusSheffield Head Office with International travelElevation Recruitment are delighted to be bringing to the market a fantastic opportunity join a highly regarded Global heavy engineering business who have recently received huge investment.This is an autonomous role working on large multi-million pound projects across the Globe within Engineering, Offshore and Subsea sectors.The role would suit someone who has previous experience in a technical sales role. A qualification in Engineering isnt essential, but the ability and willingness to learn is!Based in Yorkshire with regular overseas travel.Technical Sales Manager Role & Responsibilities:* Identify new sales opportunities through product or market diversification in line with the sales and marketing strategy*Lead customer negotiations to close sales deals in line with customer requirements and business objectives*Represent the full technical and product capability of the business to customers*Maintain a regular contact schedule to proactively account manage existing clients to build on existing business and ensure inclusion in the tender process*Follow up all enquiries and leads, liaising internally and taking a proactive interest in technical issues and new developments*Spend up to 50% of time travelling (Globally) to promote products through client visits to existing and new customers *Understand markets and competitors to give guidance when pricing strategy*Take input from the Senior Project Managers on the current business performance with assigned clients to ensure new bids reflect customer priorities and previous learning*Provide regular feedback to the Head of Sales regarding sales prospects, competitor activity and market conditionsTechnical Sales Manager Skills & Experience:* Proven track record in a Technical Sales role, developing new project-based business and managing relationships with existing clients* Qualified to at least HND level in Engineering or Metallurgy or possessing extensive Foundry experience - Advantageous* Strong technically, able to read engineering drawings, understands castings and forgings and their end user applications - Advantageous* International business experience, working with appointed agents or representatives* Team player able to integrate with, colleagues, across the business* Outgoing personality* Willing to travel extensively worldwide
