Job Description

Technical Sales Engineer required for a company who are the world leader in supplying Wear Products and Solutions in heavy duty and wear intensive industries. This company has transitioned from being a family owned business into a global company while maintaining their industry expertise, people focus and deep rooted beliefin sustainability.OTE Salary package of between £40k - £60k (dependent on experience and made up of basic +commission) + Co Car + other benefits. (Pension, life assurance, 25 days holiday + bank holidays).Location : Covering Midlands, North West and North East. Home based, with periodic visits to UK Head Office in West Midlands. Ideal location for this role would be West Midlands(Birmingham/Wolverhampton) or Manchester / Leeds / Sheffield although experience is more important than exact location.Product: Wear Products and SolutionsJob description: Technical Sales Engineer required for a company who are the world leader in supplying Wear Products and Solutions in heavy duty and wear intensive industries.These will include chrome carbide overlay, Wearplates and hard-faced tubes.A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced Technical Sales Engineer who will be responsible for sales development and technical support of wear products and solutions into a wide variety of industries, such as:-Mines and Quarries-Asphalt and Aggregate-Shredders and Recycling Plants-Power Generation-Sugar-Waste to Energy-Cement and ready-mix concrete plants-Tunnelling-Skills and Experience- A basic understanding of wear mechanisms and knowledge or experience in maintenance and repair welding is essential to succeed in this role.-Previous experience in selling abrasion resistant wear parts and plates such as Hardox would be advantageous.-Previous experience in a Technical Sales / Account Management / Sales Engineer role in a related industry.General Field Sales / Technical Sales Engineer skills including: Selling; both relationship building and solution based selling, Field Sales Experience, Business Development, Account Management , Technical Sales.

  • Including Prospecting for new customers.
 Product knowledge Heavy Industrial experience Planning and time management Mechanical aptitude Basic computer skills Basic understanding of wear mechanisms Knowledge or experience in maintenance and repair welding High level of integrity and committed to serving clients Energetic and self-motivated Excellent communication skills both verbal and writtenLocation : As you will be covering Midlands, North West and North East, then location is quite flexible.
