Job Description

Mastek are looking for an experienced Technical Architect to join them on their journey to becomethe next generation supplier into Secure Government, Public Sector and Health.As the Technical Architect you will be hands on in the development, and will oversee, the technical implementation of a range of solutions that will undoubtedly make an impact on some of the UKs most critical projects.You will give specialist advice on the technical impact of architectures to support the efficient and robust provision of information and intelligence. What you will be doing, what youll learn;A unique development opportunity to work on Large Scale Public Sector programmes with an innovative market leader. You will join a diverse and talented development team with the opportunity to collaborate on building innovative solutions for our customers. No doubt the work you will do will make impacts on the UK most critical projects.

  • Manage relationship with technical teams and facilitate relations with indirect stakeholders.
  • Have a good understanding of how governance works and what governance is required.
  • Make informed decisions that are characterised by managed levels of risk and complexity and recommend decisions as the risk and complexity increase.
  • Apply strategy, using patterns, standards, policies, roadmaps and vision statements.
  • Design systems characterised by managed levels of risk, manageable business, and technical complexity and meaningful impact.
  • Be able to analyse trends and practices outside your team and how these will impact your work.
    • You will have the following technical experience:
  • Strong knowledge of Java.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline, blue/green, canary drops and comfortable using Python
  • Experience of AWS build and the AWS Well-Architected Framework
  • Knowledge of the full breath of AWS PaaS capabilities
  • Experience with infrastructure as code, especially terraforms and CloudFormation
  • Experience with containerisation (Docker), Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS) and AWS Lambda and serverless concepts
  • A nice to have would be exposure and experience working to GDS Frameworks
