Systems Integration Developer within the IT Systems Team reports directly to the Business Analyst Manager. The post holder will support, develop, design and integrate software systems and services in line with the Colleges business objectives and Go Furtheraspirations of a forward-looking as part of the IT Development Team that meets identified requirements and operational needs. Systems Integration Developer will develop and maintain 3rd party applications such as Tribal EBS (Student records system), Unit4 ABW (Finance), MHR iTrent (Human Recourses). Furthermore the postholder will develop application programming interface betweenvarious applications and systems. They also will play an essential role in ensuring the security and compliance of College IT systems and ensuring that confidential data is maintained in accordance with the Data Protection Act.The role requires individuals who can demonstrate exceptional problem solving abilities, initiative and strong team skills in order to meet the support and development needs of an organisation with around a thousand staff and twenty thousand students acrossmultiple sites. In particular, the post holder will be responsible for:*The support, and development of the Colleges primary Business Information Systems, In-house Systems/Services and integrations;*Development of In-house applications and integration projects by writing and developing code, software, and services that meet the requirements of the College and its stakeholders;*Ensuring the Team meets the SLAs (Service Level Agreements) of the systems and services we provide to stakeholders of the College;*Work closely with Colleges Business Analysis Manager in defining the requirements and recommending solutions that deliver value and efficiencies to stakeholders and the College;*Taking direction from the IT Leadership Team on developing innovative software systems for the College with its principal In-house and Business Systems while always looking to being inclusive with stakeholders of the College;*The on-going support and development of the Colleges suite of customer-facing software systems, including the Colleges main line of business systems, In-House systems, and Data Services;*Supporting the operational procedures relating to Colleges Business Information systems to ensure that they are operated and maintained efficiently, fully documented and regularly reviewed;*Working with the Business Analysis Manager and representatives of customer groups and consultation with stakeholders to determine future needs and the development of existing and new systems;*Project planning and management for the introduction and development of software & services;*Working as part of the IT Development Team in developing and maintaining the Business Continuity Plan for all Primary Business Systems and In-house Services supported by the department;*Actively contributing to the IT Development Team and Service decisions. In all aspects of developments, support, management, project planning, and service delivery;*Enabling and undertaking the provision of reports and information to the Head of IT and Development, IT Development Team, College committees, the senior management team, and external bodies;*Undertaking any other duties and responsibilities as may be determined after negotiation between management, the post holder and appropriate Trade Unions;37 working hours 52 weeksSkills and Qualifications* English & mathematics at Level 2* Degree Level Qualification or equivalent in an IT related field e.g. IT Computer ScienceExperience and Knowledge*Experience in integration and/or programming background, preferably in an education environment*Experience with API protocols and schemas - SOAP/REST*Primary development language C# or C++*One or more of the Following three: PHP or Cold Fusion or .NET ASP*Understanding of database design and management along with TSQL experience - MSSQL preferred*Proven record of implementing and helping the business adopt a wide variety of IT solutions as part of a digital workplace.*Experience of Agile methodologies*Strong technology and systems analysis background.*Ability to write, collate and present reports.Spring acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
