Systems Engineer - The Role - Electronics, Software, Firmware, ECU, Engine Control Unit, Vehicle TopologiesAs a SystemEngineer, you will execute specific requirements definition and HW/SW design/architecture. You will play a key role in defining reliable system requirements by taking active part in requirements review processes:
  • Conceptualise software solutions for ECUs and innovative vehicle topologies
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and suppliers to determine project scope and roadmap
  • Decide on the platforms, frameworks, and coding standards to be used in project development
  • Evaluate existing hardware and software solutions to identify areas for reusability and improvement
  • Analyse modifications for existing electronics / software to upgrade performance
  • Maintain thorough documentation ofsystemsand applications
  • Mentor, encourage, and motivate team members and lead product reviews
  • Oversee architectural approaches from conception to installation and design the entire system based on the received requirements
  • Choose the system architecture and each individual component of this system at a high level
  • Resolve disputes, technical problems and make tradeoffs
  • Plan for new technology integration
  • Manage risk identification and risk mitigation strategies
Systems Engineer - Key skills/knowledge -Electronics, Software, Firmware, ECU, Engine Control Unit, Vehicle Topologies
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex concepts from the system level to the component level
  • Proved hands-on experience on C
  • Experience in both low-level operating system functionality (e.g., memory/resource management, scheduling, process control) as well as high-level real-time and/or embedded applications
  • System requirements analysis and design
  • Clear understanding of modelling
  • Understanding of Model Based SystemEngineering
  • Good understanding of networking and security, SDLC processes and Hardware– Software interactions
  • Any understanding of Functional Safety standards (ISO26262) useful but not required
  • Any understanding of diagnostics standards and specifically Automotive Diagnostics useful but not required
