Procurement Director for Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (including Integrated Care System (ICS) leadership) VSM Main base will be Northern General Hospital, Sheffield but will involve travel to other ICS, Sheffield Teaching Hospitals (STH) and Sheffield Childrens Hospital (SCH) sites. • Strategic Vision: Develop and execute a forward-thinking commercial vision and strategy for Sheffield Teaching Hospitals and Sheffield Childrens Hospital, aligning with the trusts objectives and enhancing patient outcomes.
• Leadership Excellence: Lead and mentor a dedicated procurement team, fostering innovation, supplier engagement, and market shaping.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strategic relationships at a national and local level, serving as a credible figurehead within the NHS community.
• Contribute to shaping the future of the South Yorkshire Integrated Care Systems (ICS):

• Establish Procurement Capability: Lead the establishment of ICS Procurement capability and innovative ways of working, ensuring alignment with national procurement standards.
• Strategic Roadmap: Develop and own the strategic ICS procurement roadmap, focusing on areas such as category management, governance, skills development, and sustainability, aligned with national agendas.
• Commercial Strategies: Drive commercial strategies requiring supplier innovation, senior stakeholder engagement, and market shaping within the ICS.

Who are you

• MCIPS qualified and an expert in Public Sector Procurement Legislation, contract regulations and governance.
• Demonstrable experience at Director and Head of procurement level within a large and complex Public Sector organisation having had oversite of a large procurement team.
• Able to evidence experience in fostering a culture of collaboration, insights driven decision making, and utilising analytics to create efficiency strategies for large and complex organisations.
• A confident c-suite stakeholder manager with influencing, negotiating and programme management skills.
• A tenured people manager of large departments
• An enthusiastic and engaging leader ideally with previous transformation experience.
• Passionate about improving peoples health and their well-being - patient and staff experience focused.
