Elevations Skilled Shop Floor Team are excited to be supporting our prestigious client who have an opportunity for an experienced Rotary Grinder to join their forging team.Based in the heart of Sheffields manufacturing community, our client is a market leading provider of manufacturing solutions for complex, high-precision products and services for the medical device and aerospace markets.Shift Pattern: Mornings, afternoonsPay: £12.75 p/h + Shift Allowance (£28,535 PA) + OvertimeThe Role:To create high quality precision tooling and dies to be used in the production of parts for high integrity markets such as aerospace and medical.Duties & Responsibilities:* Using best practice and customer design instructions you will inspect, and hand modify the tooling that is used in the forging production using various methods* It is essential that you are competent at measuring and inspecting the tooling before and after it is used in the forging process* You will be required to maintain accurate documentation of conditions* Surface grinding / rotary grinding* Bench fittingSkills & Experience:* Must have experience in die or tooling manufacture and modification* Must have experience in alteration of dies and tooling working to tight tolerances* Experience in reading engineering drawings and using measuring equipment* Experience of setting an operating other cutting equipment such as lathes and milling machinesThis is a really exciting time to be joining one of the regions top employers within the South Yorkshire region.For more information, please contact Nicola Jackson at Elevation Recruitment Group in Rotherham.
