Job Description

Job Title: Supplier Assurance ManagerLocation: Flexible location (either London, Manchester, Sheffield or Leeds)Salary: £51,000 - £65,000 depending on experienceIntroduction:Our client is a leading consultancy delivering specialist cyber security services to their customers. They are now looking for a Supplier Assurance Manager living in the London, Manchester, Sheffield or Leeds area to join their existing team. Please note that this is a home-based role but you will be required to travel and sometimes stay overnight when needed.Please note due to the nature of this role you will have to undergo a high level of government security clearance therefore you must be prepared to go through the necessary checks. Anyone already DV Cleared would be the ideal candidate.SALARY £51,000 - £65,000 DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE, 37 HOURS PER WEEK, 25 DAYS PLUS BANK HOLIDAYS, MILEAGE AND EXPENSES PAID.Supplier Assurance Manager Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all business areas include proportionate and appropriate security requirements within all procurements.
  • Ensure security due diligence is conducted on all bid applications as part of the procurement process.
  • Identify physical, personnel and information security risks and/or vulnerabilities and report these prior to contract award.
  • Work with business in order to provide suppliers with early insight into the mandatory minimums security requirements expected of them during the life of a contract.
  • Supporting and ensuring consistency in approach for the delivery of Supplier Security Assurance across Commercial Directorate.
  • Conduct on-going assurance activities post contract award to ensure supplier maintain compliance with minimum security requirements.
  • Conduct on site supplier security assessments.
  • Ensure consistent and accurate reporting of Supplier Security findings to internal stakeholders including Contract Managers and Senior Leadership Team.
  • Ensure risk-informed decisions regarding current and future security investments required to protect the Department’s assets and transform the Department’s security architecture.
  • Work closely with security and other internal and external stakeholders, to ensure threats, vulnerabilities and opportunities with the potential to impact or improve resilience of IT Infrastructure are identified, and / or reported appropriately
    • Supplier Assurance Manager Applicant Requirements:
  • The successful candidate must have a strong IT background and have experience in Cyber Security.
  • You must hold qualifications in Information Security & Audit, eg. ISO27001 Lead Auditor, CISA, CISMP, ISO 27005, GRC (P), CISM, CRISC, CISSP or CCSP.
  • Good understanding of security issues, information security concepts and best practice.
  • Ideally have experience of working with the MoD.
  • Knowledge of industry standards for IT management and cyber security.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach with a willingness to learn new skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and flexible with regards to travel when needed.
