Job Description

Stores OperativeAn opportunity has become available for a Stores Operative to join a well-established Aerospace Manufacturing business based in Sheffield. The role will allow you to be part of a small team carrying out Stores duties within a regulated manufacturing setting.Working Hours: 3 shiftsWeek 1: Monday to Thursday 6am - 1.45pm / Friday 6am - 12NoonWeek 2: Monday to Thursday 8am - 4pm / Friday 8am-1pmWeek 3: Monday to Thursday 1.30pm - 9.15pm / Friday 12pm - 6pmSalary: £23,151 + 12.5% shift allowance across all 3 shifts = £ 26,044. On completion of a successful 13 week probationary period, the salary will increase to £24,308 + 12.5% shift allowance = £27,346.Holiday: 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays + Christmas Shutdown.Overview of the role:The role involves physical logistics of all site handling of materials, receipt handling and distribution. It also requires good distribution practice to customers agreed specifications. Senior orchestration of site route cards and subsequent administrationof paperwork and stock. Logistics documentation handling and technical support to production staff to ensure fluidity of material flow from supplier to production to customer.Skills & Experience:*Goods Receipt / Despatch - including unloading of deliveries using reach truck / FLT counterbalance; delivery of consumable goods around site; putting away of stock once parts are passed off by inspection; delivery of sub-contract parts once passed off byinspection; purchase order receipt of materials on EFACS*Storage and Retrieval of stock - including safe storage, put away and retrieval of stock based on characteristics, weight of materials handled; ensure oldest stock is used first; annual stock counting support with overtime working for outside hours counting;regular PI checks. *Kitting - including - physical picking of materials listed by works orders; real time issuing of parts; delivery of parts to production line; dispensing of parts through Main stores and Exhausts Stores parts counters*Works Order Control - including 100% accuracy recording of material issue on route card; real time completion of works orders; split batching; printing of route cards in line with MPS; technical support to production staff for route card investigations/re-printing. *Picking and Packing - including picking of finished parts for despatch; kitting and up issue to works orders of kit parts; packing of all parts to quality standard; loading of parts onto vehicle using reach truck / FLT counterbalance; Production of releasenotes.*Booking in Sub-Contract Receipts, Creating GRN and locate Matching works order and pair up*Booking in Customer Returns. Including entering details and Re location of parts as required*Raising of Release Documentation for saleable product as per Manifest supplied by Planning, this includes the packing of product and loading sales details to Customer portals*PIC - Perpetual inventory counting, - Maintaining a high level of stock accuracy with the ability to investigate / problem solve any discrepancies*Housekeeping of the Goods inwards & Dispatch areas, maintaining 6S standards within the workspace area Know and understand the company policies including safety proceduresExperience Required:*Previous Stores/Warehouse experience of a minimum 2 years - Essential*Competent with the use of computers and basic key board skill - Essential*NVQ/qualification in Warehousing / Inventory control disciplines - Desirable*Counter-Balance Forklift Truck experience and Current License - DesirableIf you meet the above criteria we would love to hear from you!
