About The RoleYouve heard of Morrisons Supermarkets but did you know that our Maintenance department is growing at pace Morrisons Maintenance have brand new opportunities for Technicians across South Yorkshire.In this role youll utilise your general maintenance experience and training to ensure high standards across up to 4 stores, where youll be a valued member of the teams, everyone will know your name!Our Technician benefits;£25,600 annual salarycomprehensive training coursecompany van, uniform & tools to do the jobannual leave (and option to purchase an additional week)company pension3x Morrisons discount cardsYoull work 40 hours per week, with weekend work approx 1 in every 4 weeks so your flexibility is key.We have opportunities to support the following stores, please consider distance when applying, wed like our Technicians to live within a close proximity to their stores.Halfway, Staveley, Chesterfield, MeadowheadYoull benefit from training for this role, but a maintenance background is important to set you on the right path.Youll be comfortable working in a full time position which will require flexible working including some evening and weekend work.Its also key to hold a full clean driving licence as there will be regular travel between your stores, in a company vehicle.Please note, we have several Technician opportunities available, it is not necessary to apply for multiple positions.Role Responsibilities;To provide a first class, flexible, adaptable and responsive service to our stores which serve our customersEnsure courtesy and attentiveness, with a particular focus on customer satisfaction and meeting high expectationsDeliver exceptional store standards and ensure a safe shopping environment for our customers and store colleaguesBuild effective relationships with key stakeholders, including line management, store/retail management, and 3rd party contractorsWorking with store teams to understand maintenance issues, priorities and preventative actionsProvide training and insight to store teams to reduce maintenance issues e.g. comply with fats/oil/grease managementCoach store teams to achieve energy targets e.g. turning off ovens when not in use and closing back door shuttersTake ownership of tasks through to resolution and feeding back to key stakeholders with clear communicationBe visible, communicate clearly with store teams and be comfortable in managing the expectations of multiple store teamsTasks include (but not limited to): fire alarm testing, sprinkler testing, plumbing repairs, HVAC maintenance, building repairs, electrical checks, catering equipment maintenance and refrigeration unit repairsMeeting legal, compliance and health and safety standardsOverseeing and coordinating 3rd party contractorsAssessment of risks to self, customer and colleagues prior to starting work, and implementing measures to control the risk when carrying out the worksPlanning larger activity for key trading purposes out of hours or in seasonal months e.g. car park decorationsAbout YouDesirable Skills and Knowledge:General maintenance experience - qualified to at least NVQ Level 2 - or with relevant experienceFull driving licence, youll look after up to 4 stores in your groupExcellent verbal communication skills, youll communicate with colleagues at all levelsGreat attention to detail and the ability to multitaskFlexible and adaptable to changes in weekly working patternsLogical approach and keen problem solverAbout The CompanyWe design, build, develop and maintain all of our properties across the UK from our supermarkets and manufacturing sites to our distribution centres and Head Office.Driving a variety of exciting property projects, we aim to provide the best shopping experience to our customers and great working environments for our colleagues.From architectural design, construction and maintenance to project and asset management, we focus on quality and getting every detail just right.
