Job Description

An excellent opportunity for a Stock Team Leader to make their mark as we go through a huge period of growth and change.The Stock team oversee the management of all stock and inventory on site for the customer, the operations is 24/7 so routine stock tasks are allocated and managed through strict adherence to safe systems of work, standard operational procedures and processeswithin the designated stock area.Clipper Logistics is one of the leading retail fulfilment businesses in the UK, with ability and agility at our core, our cutting-edge operations allows us to provide world-class customer service to customers such as John Lewis, River Island, Marks & Spencerand PrettyLittleThing.comWhat will you be doingYou will manage team performance through the delegation of tasks to ensure stock checks, stock counts and stock replenishment SLAs and cut off times are met. Ensure team members are valued and supported through coaching, mentoring andproviding focus onhealth & safety, productivity, accuracy and quality by helping to lead the stock shift team, encouraging a team ethic to achieve daily targets for each shift.To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate that you are a people manager and have effectively managed a large team, can work independently and find solutions to operational issues and difficult situations utilising your knowledge and experienceof similar scenarios. The environment is fast paced and the business is going through a lot of change so youll need a flexible approach to managing your priorities and your team, due to the nature of the work youll have a proven ability to get things done.What skills and knowledge are required

  • Stock and Inventory management background is essential
  • Experience of performance managing a team
  • Knowledge of Warehouse Management System (JDA) would be advantageous
  • Strong knowledge and practice of Health and Safety Principles
  • Awareness of budgeting and appropriate cost control
  • Can work a night shift - 4on / 4off 7pm - 7am
