Job Description

Flexible Monday to Friday shifts between 8am-6pm with extended hours and weekend working to meet the needs of the service when required.We are seeking to appoint Caring, Compassionate, Experienced and Motivated Band 5 Registered Nurses to join the expanding Specialised Clinical Immunology & Allergy nursing team.The Newly Redesigned Clinical Immunology and Allergy Unit (CIAU) is a purpose built department located on the Northern General Hospital site in Sheffield. CIAU provides regional immunology and allergy services for adults, including:

  • Diagnosis and treatment of patients with Primary Antibody Deficiency, C1 inhibitor deficiency (both hereditary and acquired)
  • A Home Therapy training Programme for Subcutaneous and Intravenous Immunoglobulin for Immunodeficiency, and C1 Inhibitor Replacement Therapy for Hereditary Angioedema.
  • The investigation of patients with suspected immune deficiency, recurrent infections, autoimmunity and other Immunological conditions.
  • Diagnosis and treatment of allergies, including Anaphylaxis of any cause, food allergy, insect sting allergy, drug allergy, (including anaesthetic reactions) and aeroallergen allergy (hay fever and allergen-induced asthma)
