We are looking for an experienced Speech & Language Therapist to join our Mainstream Paediatric Service 5 days a week, term time only. The post is to cover “bought in contracts” in 5 schools (Stradbroke, Woodthorpe, Intake, Gleadless and Hallam), with a session for admin and CPD needs. Caseloads within the schools are large and complex, and include children with DLD, ASD, complex needs, language and phonology disorders. A good understanding of working within a culturally diverse demographic will also be required. You will work alongside school staff, particularly the school leadership teams, to identify school priorities, and may be required to work at wave 1,2 and 3. Candidates applying will therefore need to demonstrate well-developed collaborative working practices and the ability to work flexibly and problem-solve at a high level. All sessions sit within the mainstream schools team where you are able to access support from clinical leads in a range of specialisms. You will work in collaboration with the therapist providing NHS funded input for the school.Applicants will be registered with the HPC and Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists (UK). Due to the nature of the post, applicants must have access to their own transport. For further information and discussion please contact: Alice Woods (Mainstream Schools Team Leader) on
