Specification Sales Manager - Access Covers & Roof HatchesJob Title: Specification Sales Manager - Access Cover & HatchesIndustry Sector: Access Covers, Wall Access Covers, Ceiling Access Covers, Floor Access Covers, Ladder Access, Roof Hatches, Skylight Access, Smoke Vents, Acoustic Vents, Heat Vents, Ladders, Architects, Specification Sales, Specification Sales Manager, Specifiers, End Users, Main Contractors, Sub Contractors, ContractorsArea to be covered: Midlands & North (Eastern Side)Remuneration: £45,000-£50,000 + 30% of basic salary paid annuallyBenefits: £6,500 yearly car allowance + full benefits packageThe role of the Specification Sales Manager - Access Cover & Hatches will involve:

  • Specification sales position, selling high quality manufactured range of roof, floor and wall access covers, smoke vents, hatches and doors such as: ceilings access covers, roof hatches, roof safety products, floor access covers, wall panels, ladders, mounted walkways, skylight vents, floor doors, steel doors, fire doors, floor drainage
  • Majority of your time will be spend generating specification via architects, engineers, specifiers and end users
  • The remaining portion of your time will be selling through main contractors and sub-contractors and managing projects through via national & independent merchants
  • Dealing with typical order values ranging from £10k-£300k, with typical project value being £20k-£30k
  • Using CRM and the companies lead generating system
  • Will have fantastic internal sales support
  • Will be required the delivery of RIBA or similar CPD seminars and attend tradeshows
  • Will require overnight stay with the current conditions allow
    • The ideal applicant will be a Specification Sales Manager - Access Cover & Hatches experience with:
  • Must have a proven track record generating specification via architects, engineers, specifiers and end users
  • Must have sold a technical engineered roofing products, ideally roof hatches, access covers, smoke vents and related products such as ceilings access covers, floor access covers, wall panels, ladders, mounted walkways, skylight vents, smoke vents, floor doors
  • Would consider related interior product backgrounds such as: acoustics, ceiling panels, ceiling solutions, ceiling fixings, doors, fire doors, joinery products, ventilation, heating systems, roofing, rooflights, drylining, insulation, flooring, hard landscaping, wall panels, facades, glazing
  • Must have conduct CPD seminars and have a long list of architect contacts
  • Must have used a CRM system and lead generating systems
  • Commercially aware
  • Autonomous
  • Driven, Hungry, Ambitious
  • Ideally have experience breaking specification and dealing on site with main contractors and sub-contractors
