We are supporting the Recruitment of a Software Engineering Manager as my client continues through an exciting period of global growth.As the businesses Software Engineering Manager, you will build and lead my clients team who are responsible for their entire cloud-based and embedded platforms which plan & execute autonomous operations for multiple antenna systems worldwide.In this position, you will be responsible for the software aspects of the platform from customer needs, mapping and design, to prototyping and implementation, to production, continuous delivery, and support.What will you be doing:* You are responsible for the software development process from concept to production, including establishing the software roadmap with the product and business teams.* Responsible for all aspects of technology, architecture, scale, and development processes for both cloud and embedded applications.* Manage the recruitment and development of top engineering talent for your team.* Ensure all requirements are met, systems are robust and user-friendly. This will be achieved by collaborating with multiple teams, customers and stakeholders.* Own the process of releasing non-compromised versions of Software, including the management of bugs and tests.About You:* 8+ years of proven hands-on software development experience.* 5+ years proven experience of developing end-to-end cloud-based/SaaS or Embedded products.* People management experience.* Self-driven, motivated, independent yet communicative & collaborative.* Proven experience with building a team/system from scratch.* Skilled in creating documentation, cloud architectures, SOWs and working with subcontractors.* Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent work experience required.What would make you stand out:* Experience in building Telecom/IOT management systems /Cyber NOCs.* Experience with real-time embedded, Linux BSP, kernel and user space software development.What is in it for you* A fantastic package with a Salary of £85,000 - £95,000 depending on your experience.* Generous holiday allowance.* Working for a fantastic global business.* Stock options.* Private medical cover.With my client based in Sheffield "The Outdoor City" and only a short walk from Sheffield Train Station, my client can support a combination of remote / office working.
