Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a specilaist euipment manufacturer in Sheffield to help them recruit a Software Engineer.The companys products utilise bespoke software to deliver appropriate user interfaces that deliver the key attributes for their customers. Increasingly, the software component of products is being used to leverage evermore customer value and differentiationin the marketplace, keeping them ahead of the competition. A structured and continually improving approach to software development is core to the business strategy.The Software Engineer will develop user interfaces for new and existing products, and provide hands-on software engineering expertise to support the Software team to bring new products to market whilst improving the design and performance of all existingproducts.The Software Engineers duties will include

• To develop and maintain user interfaces for industrial equipment.
• To provide additional software engineering resource to the product development team.
• To provide support to internal and external customers, primarily via email and phone but occasionally on site internationally.
• To be actively involved in the formal product development process, from idea generation and screening, through concept and prototype development, to final design verification and validation.
• To identify new areas of research and work closely with other product development team members to deliver product solutions that fulfil the needs of the customer.
• Generation of requirements documentation to ensure objectives and technical specifications are clearly defined.
• To support and advise other Software Engineers regarding software options and best solutions.
• To supervise, as and when required, the activities of additional software engineering resources to ensure the efficient and timely conclusion of projects.
• To liaise with suppliers to ensure that software projects are delivered to specification and on time.
• Provide engineering support to Sales and Marketing enquiries to ensure new products and opportunities are realised and fully developed.
• Provide guidance and support during the seamless transition of new projects from development in to mainstream production.
• To act at all times in a professional manner to develop products which are aligned with the principles, strategy and goals of the business and expectations of the customer.

E;evation Recruitment are keen to hear from candidates with the following skills and experience:

• Degree qualified (or equivelent) in Software Engineering, Computer Science etc
• Experienced in C#/WPF/XAML
• Have experience of C++, embedded C/C++ and SQL
• Have experience of MVVM/MVC concepts and implementation
• Have experience of modular windows application development in C# (PRISM/UNITY would be ideal)
• Have experience of developing GUI front-ends
• Be innovative and self-motivated, have good all round engineering knowledge, a flexible attitude and be able to work in a multi-disciplinary team to meet time and budget deadlines
• Be willing to travel internationally when required
• Be able to demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively with customers and suppliers
