Our client, a long established manufacturer in Sheffield with a great product range and talented and stable design team, seek to appoint an SMPS Electronic Design Engineer. With an on-site team of other engineers to provide support as required you willwork on electronic designs for multiple projects. The ideal SMPS Electronic Design Engineer will have good analogue design skills, excellent knowledge of power supplies and some exposure to embedded systems. Youll be joining a great company that regularlyinvest in their staff, giving them fantastic staff retention rates, and pride themselves on a healthy working atmosphere.SMPS Electronic Design Engineer - Role and Responsibilities - Electronic Engineer / Hardware Engineer / SMPS / Switched Mode Power Supplies- Interpret initial concept and design, prototype, test and introduce into manufacturing multiple design projects- PCB design and layout, circuit design- Analogue electronics, switch mode power supplies, SMPS- Embedded software / Microprocessor / PICsElectronic Design Engineer - Skills and Abilities - Electronic Engineer / Hardware Engineer / SMPS / Switched Mode Power Supplies- Good understanding of electronic design engineering principles, preferably although not essentially with a HNC/HND or higher in an Electronics/Engineering- Minimum 5 years of experience to complete work unsupervised and with minimal support- Experience covering circuit schematics and fault finding- PCB design and layout- Analogue electronics and power supply design (switched mode power supplies, SMPS)- Knowledge of embedded software and C Programming beneficialElectronic Design Engineer, Analogue, Power Supplies, SMPS, PCB layout, Circuit Design, Microprocessor, Embedded Software
