Job Description

Site SupervisorLocation: On various sites, nationwide, paid travel & accommodationSalary: £21 per hour plus overtime and weekends.Our client is a multi-disciplinary engineering company specialising in delivering bulk material handling projects across a range of industries.A great opportunity has arrived to join a growing vibrant company as they are looking to appoint a Site Supervisor for their construction division.The RoleLeadership and Coordination:

  • Provide supervision and leadership to multiple teams and subcontractors.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate designated works for your team according to a programme/plan.
  • Manage/coordinate day-to-day activities onsite for the company and subcontractors.
Health and Safety:
  • Instil and maintain a strong Health and Safety culture within the site team.
  • Conduct risk assessments and participate in safety/incident investigations.
  • Manage and coordinate Health and Safety onsite.
  • Undertake/Participate in safety/incident investigations.
Quality and Standards:
  • Ensure high standards of work for yourself and others.
  • Inspect and measure completed works.
  • Report daily activities and maintain site logs.
  • Prepare accident reports and perform quality and safety inspections.
Team Management:
  • Maintain team morale and delegate responsibilities.
  • Mentor and coach team members.
  • Supervise all subcontractors and labour workers, ensuring adherence to provided RAMS and permits.
Project Management:
  • Report build progress and any deviations in programme/cost/build.
  • Develop and prepare reports and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Liaise with clients and manage internal/external relationships.
  • Accept ownership and responsibility for project completions.
Administration and Communication:
  • Organise equipment and plant for tasks.
  • Report to payroll and communicate new company procedures and policies.
  • Prepare toolbox talks/safety meetings and maintain onsite safety hazard assessments.
Adaptability and Detail Orientation:
  • Be flexible in approach to work and adaptable to change.
  • Manage own performance to meet role requirements.
  • Demonstrate good attention to detail and maintain a smart and professional appearance at all times.
Role Requirements
  • Heavy engineering / Material handling experience preferred.
  • Good client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  • CDM experience required.
  • SSSTS / SMSTS required.
  • Beneficial - Minimum IOSH/NEBOSH or equivalent experience.
