Job Description

Elevation Recruitment Groups Skilled Shop Floor Team are delighted to be working in partnership with a large Aerospace business based within the Sheffield area. We are currently seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Finishing Operative to join the team at this exciting time of expansion. SALARY: £28,335.29WORKING HOURS: Days only DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform Trimming and Dressing operations in accordance with the Route Card.
  • Knowledge of how to use air tools such as Dynafiles, Die Grinders, Drills etc.
  • Experience using a Bandsaw & Belt Linisher.
  • Experience with measuring equipment such as Dial & Digital Calipers, Verniers & DTI’s.
  • Know and understand company and department policies and safety procedures.
  • Report to work on time, follow instructions from supervisor or management, interact well co-workers, understand and follow work rules and procedures.
  • Capable of working to tight production targets & deadlines.
  • Other duties as assigned, requested or needed.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • 5 years aerospace experience – Desirable
  • Sheet Metal Work experience - Essential
  • Experience working as part of a team and ability to work alone - Essential
  • Able to work to production targets and deadlines.
  • Ability to understand and interpret drawings.
  • Keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent team work ethic.
  • High level of accuracy.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
