Job Description

Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SENTA)Location: North Sheffield SEN schoolHours: Full-time, 8:30 am - 3:30 pmAre you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with additional needs Do you thrive in a supportive educational environment where every childs potential is nurtured and celebrated If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!About Us: We are a specialist school located in North Sheffield dedicated to providing outstanding education and support to children with additional needs. Our team is committed to creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where everychild can thrive and reach their full potential.Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SENTA) to join our team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will work one-to-one with a child with additional needs, providing personalised supportand assistance to help them succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.Key Responsibilities:

  • Work one-to-one with a child with additional needs, providing tailored support in line with their individual education plan.
  • Assist the child in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes the childs confidence and independence.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to implement strategies and interventions to support the childs progress.
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement to the child, helping them develop essential life skills and coping mechanisms.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with additional needs.
  • A Team Teach qualification would be a benefit but is not essential.
  • Passion for supporting childrens learning and development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
