Job Description

Senior Structural Engineer£40k-£50k plus excellent benefitsSouth YorkshireCome join this award winning multi-disciplinary consultancy, who are very well established and enjoy an excellent reputation within the industry. Their offices are based on the outskirts of Sheffield, a location which avoids commute congestion, whilst being easily accessible to all major routes.They are currently looking for a senior structural engineer, Chartered or near Chartered, who is experienced in steel frame, masonry and concrete design across a broad project range including residential, commercial and industrial.Along with a degree in engineering, you should be either Chartered or working towards Chartership, and have ambitious career plans, as there are unlimited promotion opportunities.About you:

  • Experience designing traditional structures
  • Good report writing and quote preparation skills
  • Ability and willingness to attend client meetings, hold discussions regarding their requirements and offer resolution for any issues
  • Ability to work with more junior engineers, checking their work
  • Team player, who is used to liaising with internal and external teams
  • Focus on successful project delivery for client
    • Software proficiencies should include:
  • MasterSeries
  • CSC Fastrak
  • Stand7
    • In essence, if you are a confident senior structural engineer, able to take a brief from a client and see the project through to completion, dealing with all relevant parties to achieve this, communicating each stage coherently and with a high level of competency, this is what my client is looking for.
