Job Description

A Senior Quantity Surveyor is needed immediately to work from my clients Sheffield office. You will be leading a multi-disciplinary team, overseeing all aspects of the project based within the UK and Europe. You will have the opportunity to showcase yourstrong leadership qualities undertaking this newly created role due to a sustained period of growth. We are seeking a candidate experienced in the high-rise residential sector with contracts valued over £100m through the entire project life cycle.Requirements:

  • A BSc/MSc in Quantity surveying (RICS,IACCM or equivalent)
  • Extensive experience with the construction sector
  • Pre and post experience managing construction costs, preparing tender documents and the evaluation processes
  • A track record of administering contracts, cost negotiation, and budget control
  • Excellent communication skills and experience liaising with clients and Business directors alike
It would be advantageous if candidates were able to demonstrate:
  • Working knowledge of NEC contracts
  • Experience working with major capital projects and preparing the relevant procurement strategies
  • Expertise implementing and managing estimation softwares and I.T systems
  • Showcasing a strong network of connections within the industry and business development experience producing fee proposals and bid material
