The services offered through Tes.com play a critical role in helping teachers and school leaders deal with the challenges of providing high quality education to millions of children across the globe.Role overview:The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of a wide variety of projects from initial inception and requirements gathering to implementation and project closure.From business change initiatives to post acquisition integration projects you will be delivering projects using both agile and waterfall methodologies.In this role you will need to be able to run several smaller value driven initiatives alongside leading larger transformation and integration projects.Working with the Business Change Lead you will need to build strong relationships and effectively manage stakeholders to lead the delivery of value driven change throughout the organisation.You will be setting up cross functional project teams and working with third party suppliers to deliver initiatives and projects that support the companys strategic goals.Key role responsibilities:

  • Work with the Business Change Lead, Project Managers, Product Managers, Business Analysts and Scrum Masters to develop and improve project and change initiatives delivery
  • Champion continuous improvement and adoption across Tes
  • Manage iterative agile change initiatives alongside larger integrations programmes and transformation projects
  • Bring together and lead cross functional project teams
  • Identify and control scope including change management working with the business stakeholders, alongside business analysts, technical teams, and subject matter experts
  • Definition of project approach
  • Creation and monitoring of schedules
  • Identification and assignment of resources. Capacity resource planning
  • Identification, tracking and reporting budgets
  • Management of risk and issues and mitigation plans
  • Progress and exception reporting
  • Ensuring handover from projects to operations
  • Planning and management of system testing and UAT
  • Ensure communication, change management and user adoption strategies are planned and managed
  • Manage the planning and ensure the delivery of training
  • Project closure and review
  • Identification and management of internal stakeholder relationships
  • Communication and relationship building with the Senior Management Team and all stakeholders across the organisation
  • Partner with the Product Managers to support product deployments
  • Education and experience requirements:Technical Skills
  • Project management tools such as MS Project, Smartsheets, Trello etc
  • Product management & development tools such as aha, Github and JIRA
  • MS365
  • Test automation tools
  • Education/Qualifications
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Project management qualifications e.g. Agile, Prince 2, PMI, MSP
  • Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years successfully managing Agile and Waterfall projects ideally in a product-led organisation
  • Experience of moving teams to adopting agile methodologies delivery
  • Effective executive level stakeholder management
  • Managing post-acquisition integration programmes
  • Led technical project deliveries for enterprise systems and SaaS product deployments
  • Worked with Product Managers and Scrum Masters to support product development deployment
  • Strong record in the management of change and business improvement initiatives
  • Experience of Scrum, Lean and Safe Agile delivery frameworks
