A Senior Operations Manager is required for a leading manufacturing business in Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving business which has exciting growth plans in place for the next 4 years. Due to this growth my client is now looking to appoint a Senior Operations Manager to have full ownership of its manufacturing facility. The role will report direct to the General Manager and have responsibility for 7 direct reports and over 180 indirect membersof staff.The Senior Operations Manager responsibilities will include:-Driving and safety first culture -Responsible for all manufacturing processes including: machining, casting, forging and despatch-Also responsible for managing both the CI and maintenance teams-Engaging with the workforce to create a positive and quality driven culture-Direct responsibility for, and involvement in projects and strategies, as well as being a contact for customers regarding technical queries, particularly for new developments-Providing plans for improvement opportunities on processes and more efficient manufacturing-To drive the business forward through the successful implementation of new ideas and processes-Ensuring the generation and capture of relevant data and the use of data to drive process improvement-Increasing output, improve efficiencies and introduce new technologiesThe successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following skills and experiences:-Educated to degree or equivalent standard in engineering discipline of with significant relevant experience-Managed complex manufacturing teams in excess of 100 FTEs-A hands-on production professional, who has a proven experience in a demanding and ever changing manufacturing sector-Extensive experience in a highly regulated environment is highly desirable -Exceptional people management skills and teamwork abilities-The ability to build a good working relationship with senior production staff and acknowledge their valuable input to the teamThis is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious manufacturing leader to join a thriving business as it enters an exciting period.Similar job titles will include Head of Manufacturing, Head of Production, Works Manager, Operations Manager, Operations Director, Manufacturing Manager, Production Manager, Machine Shop Manager.If you think you match these requirements, please apply today.
