Job Description

Senior IT Engineer Salary: £27,000-£45,000 pa (doe)Location: Sheffield, South YorkshireHybrid working - 3 days office, 2 days remoteFull-Time, Permanent, HybridMy client is currently seeking a Senior IT Support Engineer to join their dynamic team in Sheffield.If you are passionate about providing technical support, being involved in major projects, troubleshooting complex issues, and delivering exceptional customer service, this role is for you!This role offers exceptional opportunities for flexible working, career progression, and professional development.Furthermore, my client will cover all expenses for certifications and training courses!Responsibilities:

  • Providing 2nd/3rd Line technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in person
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Perform system installations, configurations, and upgrades.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity and performance problems.
  • Collaborate with other support teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, solutions, and knowledge-base articles.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Essential Skills:
  • MSP experience
  • Previous experience in a similar 2nd/3rd Line Support role.
  • Proficient across Windows operating systems.
  • M365 proficiency across cloud technologies (Azure), AD, and O365 applications
  • Proficient in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Strong skills across virtual servers; VMWare, Hyper-V, Citrix.
  • Strong experience across networking; firewalls, networking, VPNs, routers.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirables:
  • Experience in migration or rollout projects is a plus!
