We have a fantastic opportunity for Two Senior Gas Officers at Sheffield City Council. This is a Full-time Permanent role.What is the roleSheffield City Council are looking for two Senior Gas Officers to deliver a contract administration service of the operational delivery of onsite dependent upon discipline e.g., Gas Servicing, Electrical, Commercial & Community Heating, Domestic Heatingprogramme. To implement and maintain and monitor on-site quality assurance, defect inspection and handover procedures Sheffield City Council policy and procedures. Issue Site Instructions, variations and offer competent, sound technical advice. To participateas a member of a multi-disciplinary team responsible for delivering (but not limited to) contract administration service, operational delivery of onsite heating improvement works and an area-based tenant and contractor liaison function.What are your responsibilities

• Oversee and support the day-to-day work of Investment Assistants & Business Support staff.
• Being responsible for effective consultation and communication, both formally and informally, with tenants, contractors, elected members, and colleagues. This may also include liaising with emergency services, HSE and the Environmental Agency and otherexternal stakeholders,
• Attendance, reporting too and active participation at but not limited to local project groups, working groups, progress meetings,
• Undertaking the first stage reviews, appeals, implementation of the complaints procedure, including replies to elected members and other bodies, as associated with service delivery,
• Undertaking the role of active client and delivery of contract administration within a partnership environment, including scheme preparation and contract administration duties including but not limited to, testing and defect inspections, property handoversand quality assurance processes as defined by Sheffield City Council.
• Demonstrate a knowledge, understanding and practical application of but not limited to all areas of Construction health and safety, Construction, Design and Management Regulations, asbestos management/awareness, building regulations and working practices.
• Undertake inspections and surveys, prepare, produce and present technical and non-technical reports and designs including the making of recommendations and remedial actions.
• Work closely with Neighbourhood Management Teams to help ensure that local intelligence effectively informs programmes of work.

What skills do you Need

• Must have previous Senior Gas Officer experience.
• Excellent people skills, as you will be speaking to service users, clients, and other members of staff including managers.
• Excellent IT Skills, as you will be uploading important information onto internal systems.
• You must have full and valid Gas certifications.
• Valid UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle.
• Flexitime hours can work between 7am and 7pm, but roles are based around customers so need to be available in the core of the day. flexible if they start later to do a school run etc.
• Depending on your experience they may split the role, additional training would be offered. (80% site/office)
• Must hold; ACS Accreditation, CCN1, CEN1, HTR1, WAT1 or valid ACOPS equivalent, with an understanding of Solid Fuel Systems
