My Client, a market leading specialist UK based Environmental Consultancy, is searching for a Senior Flood Risk Consultant to join their team based in Sheffield.Candidates are required to have a MSc and BSc in a relevant discipline including Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Hydrology or GIS and have experience completing Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Strategies and/or Hydraulic Modelling.Candidates are required to be confident individuals, live locally or be prepared to relocate to the local area. A valid driving licence is also essential for site visits and Client meetings.If you are due to take your test in the upcoming months, please do let me know!It is beneficial for applicants to have experience using Tuflow, Flood Modeller and/or Microdrainage.This exciting flood risk opportunity will offer you the chance to join an established team based in Sheffield. You will be expected to complete varied Hydrological, Surface Water, Flood Risk, Water Monitoring and Drainage Projects for Private Sector Clients,Local Authorities and Housing Developers.You will be required to complete the following;-Flood Risk Assessments for Planning Applications.-Surface Water Management Plans.-Drainage Strategies for Planning Applications.-Drainage Design using Microdrainage.-Flood Risk Mapping using ArcGIS.-Hydraulic Modelling using Flood Modeller and Tuflow.-Site visits and site walkovers.-Project Management and Client meetings to discuss project development and to develop new business opportunities.You will be expected to work from the office 4 days per week and a more flexible approach will be offered following probation.This role offers a competitive salary, substantial benefits package, training and career progression.If this role is of interest to you or if you are searching for other roles relating to Drainage Engineering/Flood Risk Assessment please send a detailed CV to Jordanna Morris on or and email your CV to .
