Job Description

As Senior Financial Accountant youll work with our Finance Director to provide leadership to theaccounting team to ensure all financial accounting and reporting conforms to finance best practices.Why SCXOur talented team have been at the forefront of the most ambitious and challenging design andengineering solutions.   • Retractable roofs for Wimbledon Centre Court and No.1 Court
  • The worlds first dividing and retractable pitch at Tottenham Hotspur Stadia Projects in Japan, Hong Kong, and Europe
  • Infrastructure projects, including moveable bridges, flood defences and rail Nuclear & Defence:
  • Nuclear energy at Sellafield, Magnox, Dounreay, EDF and Urenco
  • Defence nuclear submarines with Babcock, BAE, and Rolls Royce
  • Defence surface vessels including the Queen Elizabeth Class carriers and other Royal Navy vessels
What Youll be doing
  • Fulfil the requirements of the Finance Function within the Group.
  • Develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership & strong management to the accounting team.
  • Ensuring all financial accounting and reporting conforms to finance best practices.
  • Recommend and introduce new financial policies, processes and controls as and when they are identified.
  • Maintain the Integrity of the financial information reported.
  • Ensuing all deadlines are met (both internal and external).
  • Identify risks within Finance as soon as identified.
What were looking forTo be successful in the role you will have a financial qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) and have atleast 3 years experience working at senior financial accountant level in a project or contractingorganisation. You will also be able to demonstrate:
  • Proven performance in a supervisory or management role within a finance team or department.
  • Ability to review existing processes and controls and make improvements where required,consistent with industry best practices.
  • Familiarity of Enterprise Resource Planning systems (ERP). Navision is the system currently in use so prior knowledge an advantage.
  • Up to date knowledge of accounting standards and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to present financial data using detailed reports and charts.
  • Expertise in MS Office Suite Excel with ability to create concise, efficient, and accurate models.
