Job Description

We have a unique opportunity for a talented and experienced Employment Solicitor or Legal Executive to head up our Employment and HR Services department for our client who is a well-established leading firm of Solicitors based in Sheffield. They are a forward-thinkingorganisation and one of the leading law firms in South Yorkshire well known for delivering excellent levels of client care. Senior Employment Solicitor Benefits:

  • Salary: Up to 85k DOE
  • Hours: Full Time
  • Location: Sheffield - possibility of Hybrid working
  • Holiday - 25 days holiday per annum plus statutory bank holidays. In addition to this, the Company also provides one extra days holiday at Christmas. This full time holiday entitlement increases to 28 days after 5 years completed service

Senior Employment Solicitor role:We are looking for an experienced Employment Solicitor with at least 7 years PQE or Legal Executive to head up their Employment and HR Services department.The role involves the proactive management of a varied caseload of employment matters and to undertake a leading role in the development of the department.Head of employment & HR Services Responsibilities will include representing both employers and individuals on a broad range of matters including:
  • Attending tribunals and undertaking advocacy as appropriate
  • Delivering practical and tailored employment and HR advice
  • Building and maintaining strong internal and external relationships
  • Developing a marketing strategy for the department and undertaking business development initiatives
  • Supervising the provision of employment and HR services for the department
  • Delivering training to the wider department, including briefings and updates.
Senior Employment Solicitor Criteria:
  • You will be a qualified solicitor or Legal Executives with considerable PQE and possess excellent and comprehensive employment law knowledge and have demonstrable experience of Business Development.
  • The ability to demonstrate sound technical knowledge together with exceptional client case and excellent communication skills is essential.
  • Experience of working with Case Management Systems
  • ELA membership would be beneficial.
