Applications are invited for an exciting opportunity that has arisen in the Department of Psychological Services (DPS) at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (STH) for a Senior Clinical Psychologist specialising in Neuropsychology.The post-holder will work clinically into a number of neuropsychology outpatient clinics but will have clinic lead responsibilities for the Neuropsychology Memory & Dementia clinic. This service is operationally managed by the DPS Operational Management Team. The post-holder will take responsibility for the clinical management of the service, including liaison with the STH Memory MDT and referrers. Currently DPS Neuropsychology clinical work is taking place both face to face and remotely.The post is ideally suited to a qualified HCPC registered practitioner psychologist with a high level of commitment to and experience of working into physical health and neuropsychological services within an acute hospital setting.There is a strong emphasis on team working within DPS and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to provide supervision, training and advice to the wider staff group, as agreed with their line manager.The successful applicant will join a supportive group of psychologists, neuropsychologists and psychological practitioners working into a range of health, medical and neurological specialities. DPS has more than 30 qualified clinicians and 5 assistant psychologists. Three Clinical Neuropsychologists, eight Clinical Psychologists and three Assistant Psychologists work across DPSs Neuropsychology services.DPS has strong links with the University of Sheffields Clinical Psychology Unit, as well as the Leeds and Hull DClinPsy courses. We have growing links with other local research partners.
