The services offered through Tes.com play a critical role in helping teachers and school leaders deal with the challenges of providing high quality education to millions of children across the globe.Role overview:As the Senior Business Analyst you will be a lead role in driving through value-based business change across the organisation.As a member of the Business Change and Delivery team you will be a champion and agent for change to ensure benefits are realised from system implementations and developments and that fast, incremental improvements deliver value to the business more quickly.Work with the Business Change Lead to identify change opportunities and drive continuous business improvement. This will be achieved through building strong internal relationships and applying business analysis skills in an agile way to effectively identify, analysis and drive incremental change that quickly brings greatest business value.Key role responsibilities:

  • Lead in the recommendations and delivery of the business analysis activities in large- and small-scale change initiatives
  • Be a lead in the formation of a programme of continuous improvement responsible for business process design and recommendations for improvements
  • Work with the Business Change Lead, Programme Managers, Project Managers, Product Managers, Business Analysts and Scrum Masters to develop and improve project and change initiatives delivery
  • Guide and mentor the business analyst team
  • Communicate with internal colleagues to understand the needs/processes of departments and the organisation as a whole
  • Understand business needs as they relate to a potential change or transformation.
    • Education and experience requirements:Business Analyst Skills
  • Advanced interviewing/fact finding techniques
  • Experience of facilitating discovery workshops
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to talk and present to a range of audiences, sometimes acting as a "translator" between parties
  • Strong influencing skills and proven stakeholder management experience
  • Experience of change management, and the ability to introduce and embed positive change.
  • Excellent documentation writing skills including User Stories and Epics
  • Skilled in facilitating workshops, interviews and other requirement elicitation methods
  • Systematic and analytical approach to problem solving, applying an informed, evidence-based approach
  • Highly developed analytical skills
  • Strong process mapping and data modelling skills
  • Business process modelling - should have a strong track record of applying BPMN methodologies and improving business processes. (e.g. LEAN)
  • Understanding and knowledge of project management
  • Confident and experience of Agile methodologies as well as Waterfall
    • Technical skills
  • Process Mapping Software such as MS Visio, Lucidchart, Miro etc
  • MS Office suite - Excel to an advanced level
  • Product management & development tools such as aha, Github and JIRA
  • Project Management tools such as Smartsheets, Trello etc
  • Test Automation tools
    • Qualifications & Experience
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Must have a minimum of 4 years experience in a Business Analysis or equivalent role ideally within a SaaS based product-led commercial organisation
  • Experience of working with Scrum Masters, Product Owner and Product Managers to effectively deliver value driven change
  • Proved experience of delivering change both on a large and small scale effectively
