Ref: 428Role: Senior Account Manager/Account DirectorSalary: £40,000-£45,000 per annum depending on experienceLocation: Sheffield (hybrid working available)Hours of Work: 9.00am-5.30pm Mon-FriOur client helps retail and consumer brands across the UK win in a world of sameness. Theyre a strategic brand and content agency whose mission is to help brands flourish in a world full of noise.They are looking for a Senior Account Manager/Account Director to join us who can help to take the agency to the next level.You’ll be commercially astute and comfortable building great relationships with some of the UK’s biggest brands, alongside a nose for spotting new opportunities.Working with:

  • Internal: Client Services Team, Agency Management/Leadership Team. Including an in-house creative team, planners/strategists and creative teams
  • External: Client marketing teams, including Marketing Directors, Brand Managers and juniors, advising and guiding them on how to best execute their work in line with business objectives.
• Reporting to the senior management team of the agency, usually the Managing Director and Commercial Director, reporting on profitability.• As the team grows, responsibility for managing staff within their team, being accountable for their performance and providing them with professional development opportunities.Responsible for:• Leading client accounts within the agency, with overall responsibility for the client/agency relationship.• Interrogating client briefs, by challenging and asking questions, to develop briefs that meet business needs in an effective and accountable way.• Ensuring the profitability and growth of client accounts.• Identifying, developing and converting new business opportunities with existing and future agency clients.• Negotiating contracts and fees with marketing directors and client procurement personnel.• Writing, refining and executing Client Development Plans to meet business objectives.• Leading and inspiring those outside of the core team, including creative teams and those in other agencies working on the same account.• Reporting key financial and team data to the agency’s senior leadership team.• Maintaining a detailed awareness of relevant market trends affecting their accounts, and developments in the wider advertising and communications industry.Candidate Requirements:
  • 2+ years agency experience in an account management/senior account management role or similar.
  • Solid brand and marketing experience with a keen interest in the industry and new trends.
  • A strong work ethic, with a desire to roll up your sleeves and get things done.
  • The flexibility and knowledge to work across a wide range of sectors.
