Job Description

Are you passionate about supporting individuals with additional needs Are yiu wanting to gain experience working within a classroom Protocol Education are currently looking to employ kind and nurturing individuals to work as SEN Teaching Assistants withinSecondary Schools across Sheffield. We are looking for people who are passionate about supporting and caring for children with additional needs.The role will give you the chance to gain classroom experience supporting children with SEND on a 1-1 and small group basis. Your role will include being responsible for ensuring that the pupils can integrate as fully as possible in the activities generallyundertaken by the other children in the class and make progress as well as developing knowledge of the particular needs of the children and seeking advice from the SENCo, Class Teacher and any other outside agencies as required. You will also be required toprovide positive reinforcement, praise and rewards to pupils therefore motivating them to complete their learning.The successful candidates will:

  • Be warm, kind and caring, enabling them to develop strong relationships
  • Have a nurturing approach and understand the importance of meeting the various needs of all children
  • Feel passionate about helping children to achieve their full potential
  • Believes that every student, regardless of their background or need, can make outstanding progress.
The candidates should be able to provide two references and will have relevant experience of working with children or young people. This role would be appropriate for people looking for full-time or part-time employment, minimum of 3 days per week (daysflexible.)What Protocol can offer:
