Job Description

Security OfficerLocation - SheffieldSalary:£25,200.00A global leader in steel production and engineering is currently looking for a security officer to join their team in Sheffield.This is a well-established iconic force in steel production and engineering. They are renowned worldwide for their exceptional designs, manufacturing prowess, and seamless delivery of top-tier steel forgings and castings.The successful Security Officer, will be at the forefront of security operations, encompassing the entire site. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of critical security services that form the bedrock of protection for this esteemed establishment.Your duties will include but not limited to:

  • Collaborate seamlessly within a cohesive security team to ensure round-the-clock security coverage at our clients site.
  • Adhere rigorously to company security policies and procedures, guided by departmental management.
  • Safeguard access points with vigilance and professionalism.
  • Oversee alarm systems with acute attention, ensuring prompt actions.
  • Meticulously monitor and provide insightful reports on the security systems.
About You:The successful candidate should possess the following skills, knowledge, and experiences:
  • Hold a Security Qualification, including an SIA Licence.
  • Demonstrate a minimum of 1 years hands-on security experience.
  • Possess a valid UK driving licence, empowering you to contribute actively.
  • Showcase proficiency in IT, particularly the MS Office suite.
  • Leverage past Security Gatehouse experience to excel in your role.
  • Leverage site security patrolling experience for heightened effectiveness.
Days/Hours of Work:
  • An average of 42 hours per week, facilitating a healthy work-life balance.
  • Engage in 12-hour shifts, following a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern that spans Monday to Sunday.
  • Currently the shifts are 3am – 3pm and 3pm – 3am. This may change in the future.
