Job Description

Science Tutor - Sheffield basedAre you a passionate and dedicated Science Tutor with a flair for teaching your subject Do you have the ability to engage and inspire students in a small group setting If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!About Us: We are a well-established education supply agency who aim to provide high-quality teaching and support staff to local education provisions. Partnered with well-known tutoring company and reputable educational support platform,they are expanding their team and seeking an enthusiastic Science Tutor to join them in their Sheffield branch.Position Overview: As a Science Tutor, you will be responsible for leading group sessions with up to four students, focusing on Mathematics and Science subjects at a Sheffield-based tutoring facility. The ideal candidate should possess excellentcommunication skills, a thorough understanding of the curriculum, and the ability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment.Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct small group tutoring sessions in Maths for evening sessions.
  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans tailored to the needs of the students.
  • Provide clear explanations of complex concepts and ensure student understanding.
  • Foster a positive and encouraging learning atmosphere.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to students and their parents.
  • Collaborate with other tutors and share best practices.
Requirements:
  • A strong academic background in Science.
  • Previous tutoring or teaching experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles.
  • Familiarity with the current curriculum and exam requirements.
  • Passion for education and helping students succeed.
  • Able to commute to Sheffield.
