Job Description

Rehabilitation Assistant Department: Community Intermediate Care Service (CICS)Location: Community (citywide)AFC Band: 2Hours Per Week: 37.5This Vacancy We are looking to recruit additional Rehabilitation Assistants to work within Community Intermediate Care Service (CICS). Your role will be to deliver person centered care to patients within their own homes. You will deliver quality care to patients requiring rehabilitation, those who are nearing the end of life or people who have suffered a stroke.About UsCICS support patients by providing care and clinical support at home to avoid hospital admission or facilitate discharge from hospital. It is a citywide service made up of a multi-disciplinary team; consisting of Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, other specialist therapists, Pharmacists, Rehabilitation Assistants, Admin support and Managers.The service operates from 6am to 12am,7 days per week, including all Bank Holidays.Who we are looking forYou will have experience of working within a health service and have experience of working in a care environment.The role is highly responsive to changing demands for care and you therefore need to be flexible to meet this demand.You will be expected to covershifts from 8am to 10pm, 365 days a year including weekends and Bank Holidays.As part of our recruitment process at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals we assess applicants’ individual values and behaviours to ensure that these behaviours align with our PROUD values: Patient First, Respectful, Ownership, Unity and Deliver.Our values are what help to make us different and ‘a Brilliant Place to Work’.
