Job Description

  • Assist in the preparation of adverts, job descriptions/AFC bandings and person specifications ensuring compliance with statutory obligations and the promotion of the Trust as an employer of choice.
  • Assist the Recruitment Team to ensure the provision of an effective recruitment and selection service for centralised recruitment programmes including bulk nursing and midwifery and apprenticeship programmes other areas may be developed as appropriate.
  • Attend recruitment open days and student information briefings where appropriate to promote the programmes and advise applicants on recruitment and selection processes.
  • Ensure all queries relating to AFC band/job description/person specification are referred to senior colleagues for ratification/clarification.
  • Ensure deadlines are met relating to all aspects of the Recruitment and Selection process from placing adverts through to the pre-employment checking process and confirmation stage within the key performance indicator targets.
  • Conduct pre-employment appointments for new starters or attend assessment days as appropriate to undertake pre-employment checks. Ensuring all documents meet the requirements of the NHS Employment Standards and the candidate is able to complete all onlineprocesses; dealing with discrepancies as and when they arise.
Youll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
  1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
  2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
  3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
Youll have the following skills/experience:
  • Excellent communication skills- both verbal and written
  • Microsoft office skills- Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Previous admin experience
  • Previous NHS experience
  • Recruitment experience ideally within the NHS/ Public sector
  • Knowledge of pre-employment checking
