REED Engineering & Manufacturing re working with a leading Engineering & Manufacturing company.Quality Engineer (Metallurgical, Laboratory - UKAS)Job SummaryThe main purpose of this job is to develop and manage the Quality Management Systems for thecompaniesLaboratories based in the UK Manufacturing Facility, ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards. Leading a small team to ensure all elements ofthe QMS are delivered for the Labs.Main DutiesSkills, Experience & Qualification Responsibility for the ISO17025 Quality Management System ISO 17025 Audit - UKAS Manage the Lab NAPCAP audit process Lab QMS Specification Review and Lab Technical Spec Review - Implement actions to close gaps. Write / review and update procedures and establish effective processes that ensure compliance PSR / 8D / CEDAC / Corrective & Preventive actions / Error proofing Integration of Lab systems to Main Operations Document Management Management reporting Training Management of approved suppliers including Supplier selection, approval & monitoring Specification control Management of Internal audits Internal auditing - QMS and Technical processes Customer complaints resolution Data driven continuous improvement Support for Chemical, Metallography and Mechanical test functions (at least one discipline) Management of change & Risk assessments Responsibility for record & sample archiving Customer liaison including presentations Calibration Management Quality awareness training Product Release facilitationDemonstrable Experience of: Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, and Power Point at a minimum) required to accomplish day-to-day work activities and willingness to learn additional programs. Leadership of a small team Company, products, objectives and operations. Quality systems and technical specifications Successfully balancing multiple projects at various stages with limited supervision in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
