Job Description

I am now exclusively recruiting for a Leading, Global Engineering and Manufacturing business located in Sheffield, near Meadowhall who are now looking to recruit a QHSE Manager. My client has stressed that they would consider a Quality Engineer looking to take their next step into management, if they have suitable skills and background knowledge.Client DetailsLocated near Meadowhall, off Junction 34 M1 my client is part of a global company which was Founded in 1917. This client is the worlds leading diversified manufacturer of motion and control technologies and systems, providing precision-engineered solutions for a wide variety of mobile, industrial and aerospace markets. Due to internal changes my client is now looking to recruit a highly focused, driven QHSE Manager to be based at the Sheffield site.DescriptionAs the Quality, Health, Safety and Environment Management (QHSE Manager) you will have full ownership of all management systems including ISO9001, OHSAS18001 and ISO14001.You will report directly into the Plant Manager ensuring the plant and personnel meet all requirements for relevant QHSE legislations. In additional you will drive a positive and developing site mentality, to enable future and current improvements:Job Responsibilities

  • Support adherence to company business procedures and Perform internal audits of the Quality and Environmental systems relating to documented procedures and work instructions.
  • Sustain a Safety focused culture and drive all new initiatives through.
  • Drive a Quality Assurance ethos throughout site in collaboration with Operations, Production Engineering & Supply Chain teams utilising statistical methods to drive decision making.
  • Represent the company by interfacing with customers, assisting with internal and external audits.
  • Help ensure the plant and personnel meet all Customer requirements regarding quality, including the supply of documentation, information, after-sales care.
  • Ensure compliance to specified quality requirements by performing in-house and supplier audits and surveys.

  • Engineering or Manufacturing Knowledge (Must Have)
  • NEBOSH in Safety or equivalent certificate (Desired)
  • Internal Auditor skills (Must Have)
  • Quality Assurance Qualification (Highly Desired)
  • Thorough knowledge of ISO 9001 (Must Have)
  • 14001 & ISO45001 (Highly Desired)
  • Safety, customer and results focused orientation (Must Have)
  • Adaptability and flexibility (Must Have)
  • Teamwork and cooperation (Must Have)
  • Knowledge of 8D, SCAR, Pareto, Process Flow, Ishikawa tools (Highly Desired)
