Job Description

Purchasing Imports Coordinator Wanted SheffieldOur customer is looking to hire a purchasing imports coordinator asap! The role is very fast-paced and requires you to be methodical within the systems they use as part of their day-to-day operations. They want a motivated person who is an excellent communicatorwho can speak to suppliers on the phone. You will team up with the Purchasing Manager but also run your own projects which you will have autonomy for.Responsibilities:Raising purchase orders.Expediting purchase orders to ensure specified delivery are met and reporting any problems.Report any problems with deliveries to the supplier.Ensuring products are purchased at the right time, to specification, and at a competitive price.To order all consumable items i.e., PPE, stationary, workshop and organize laundry of workwear.Sending of RFQ to potential suppliersDealing with suppliers via face-to-face/email and phoneUpdating of prices on the systemSetting up a vendor account and filling in credit application formsSending out supplier questionnaireDealing with gas and electric contractsDealing with waste managementResponsible for the movement of goods from other countries ensuring the transit and delivery are on time.Experience and QualificationsMicrosoft Packages including Excel.A Good Knowledge of shipment /Customs entry procedures is ideal but not essential.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Flexibility to work as an individual or part of a team.Experience in Purchasing would be advantageous.Must be highly organized and able to work to tight deadlines.Benefits:25 days holiday (increasing with service to 30) plus statutory holidays.Onsite parkingEAP SystemAnnual Profit Related BonusPension Scheme
