Job Description

2 x Permanent, Part Time - 22.5 hoursWe have an exciting opportunity for two Property Services Officers at South Yorkshire Housing, to work within our Property Services team. We are a forward thinking, values driven housing association, and this role is based at our Rockingham Street offices,in the centre of Sheffield.For our perfect candidate we are offering a flexible role, working in a caring and friendly team, with a great package of benefits.Job Description

  • Starting on £29,930 per annum, pro rata (Band 4B/C)
  • 22.5 hours per week, (3 Days of the Mon to Fri) This can be worked over 5 days, arrangements to be agreed with your line manager
  • Office/home and site-based work
  • 27 days holiday, plus 8 bank holidays, plus 4 SYHA days at Christmas, Easter, Spring and August Bank Holiday (all pro rata). The leave year runs from 1st April to the 31st March.

More about the roles:We are looking for an individual who can work alone as well as part of a team. As part of the role.You will be required to travel from property to property to carry out inspections as required. This will involve ensuring servicing is in place and completed where required.Leasehold Position:You will be required to attend various locations to inspect and raise works orders for the repairs and maintenance of the leasehold properties and communal areas. Ensuring all servicing records are up to date and arranging works associated with this. Prepareannual budget forecasts and providing this information to Head of Department.Planned Works (SIP, Stock Investment Program):You will be responsible for the planned works on the new boiler installations, windows and door program along with the internal and external painting program. This will include arranging appointments with our customers and contractors to visit multiple locationsto survey for the installations. You will also be required to extract information from our systems to manage budgets, schedules and provide all information to Head of Department.Who you are:The ideal candidate for the position of Property Services Officer should be;
  • Self motivated
  • Have strong digital skills (i.e. Word, Microsoft Excel, able to transact online)
  • Good communication skills
  • Good problem solver
  • Knowledge of property maintenance along with defects within a property
  • The ideal candidate to have previous experience (not essential) as a Property Services Officer.
  • Must have a car and drivers licence (essential)
  • Great organisational and observational skills
  • Must be passionate about customer service
