Job Description

  • Starting on £31,276 per annum. Band 4B/C pro rata
  • 37 hours per week
  • Office/home and site-based work this will be an approx. 50/50 split
  • 27 days holiday, plus 8 bank holidays, plus 4 SYHA days at Christmas, Easter, Spring and August Bank Holiday (all pro rata). The leave year runs from 1st April to the 31st March.

More about this role:We are looking for an individual who can work alone as well as part of a team.You will be required to attend various locations to inspect, diagnose and raise works orders for the repairs and maintenance of the SYHA properties and communal areas. Ensuring all servicing records are up to date and arranging works associated with this.Prepare annual budget forecasts and providing this information to Head of Department.Who you are:The ideal candidate for the position of Property Services Officer should be;
  • Self motivated
  • Have strong digital skills (i.e. Word, Microsoft Excel, able to transact online)
  • Good communication skills
  • Great organisational and observational skills
  • Must be passionate about customer service
  • Good problem solver
  • Worked within a Property maintenance/ Construction environment with a good all round knowledge of diagnosing defects in property and communal areas.
  • Must have a car and drivers licence (essential)
